About able stays

Making the Inaccessible, Accessible

At able stays, we’re driven by a singular vision: to create a luxury nature retreat where every guest, especially those with accessibility needs, feels empowered, welcomed, and at home. Our cabins and resort aren’t just accessible; they’re designed with you in mind, crafted to anticipate every need and exceed every expectation.

With nearly 30 years of expertise in accessible construction and decades of experience in hospitality and operations, we’ve built a haven where true accessibility meets unparalleled elegance, ensuring that the beauty of nature is yours to enjoy without barriers.

A Message from Our Founder

For nearly 30 years, as the owner of a construction company, I’ve had the privilege of serving clients with accessibility needs, helping them transform their homes into spaces where they could thrive. Time and again, I saw how few options they had—how the world wasn’t built for them. That’s why Able Stays exists. When we talk about ‘fully accessible,’ we mean everything in our environment is designed so anyone can use it, far surpassing what the ADA or any agency might require. If you’ve ever struggled to find a truly accessible travel experience, you’ll be amazed by what we’ve created at Able Stays—a place where every detail, from the roll-in showers to the paved trails, was built just for you.

Who We Are

Able Stays is more than a destination—it’s a promise to redefine what accessible travel can be. Our team brings nearly 30 years of specialized experience in accessible construction, designing environments that empower physically handicapped individuals, older adults, and guests of all abilities. Combined with decades of expertise in hospitality and operations, we’ve created a resort that anticipates your needs and wraps them in luxury. Our custom-built cabins, sleeping up to six, feature roll-under counters, touch-free lighting, voice-activated controls, and spacious layouts, all crafted with high-end materials to ensure comfort and style.

We know the challenges you face when traveling—properties that claim “accessibility” but offer only a ramp or a grab bar. At Able Stays, we’ve thought of everything, from wide doorways for wheelchairs to hearing loops for sensory needs. Our resort is your sanctuary, where every element is designed to make you feel independent, valued, and immersed in the serenity of nature.

Our Values

Our values are the heartbeat of Able Stays, guiding every decision to ensure your experience is extraordinary.

  • Inclusivity: Every cabin, paved trail, and amenity is crafted to welcome all guests, removing barriers and opening possibilities.
  • Empowerment: With assistive technologies and personalized support, we give you the freedom to enjoy your vacation on your terms.
  • Excellence: High-end craftsmanship and meticulous design deliver a luxurious experience that never compromises accessibility.
  • Nature: Our accessible trails, fishing pier, and landscaped grounds connect you to the beauty of the outdoors, effortlessly.
